CITAM Embakasi’s New Property

Today, 18th December 2023 is memorable for CITAM Embakasi when premises on a 2-acre plot was officially handed over to CITAM for the settlement of the assembly. We praise God that finally CITAM Embakasi has a place of worship. The property which was formerly owned by Kentainers Limited has a spacious parking lot, big godown for the sanctuary and an office block with offices and about 25 big and small rooms for meetings. After the full payment was made, the Management led by the CEO of Kentainers Limited was glad to present the keys of the property to Rev. Justus Mugambi, the Deputy Bishop. Present in the handover meeting was Rev. Jotham Munene (Regional Overseer, Southern Region), Rev. Mathew Keli ( Senior Pastor CITAM Embakasi), and Head Office Managers.

CITAM Valley Road’s New Parking

We thank God that finally CITAM Valley Road has a new acquired property for its parking. Presiding Bishop, Rev. Calisto Odede dedicated the new property on Tuesday, 31st October 2023. It was a joyous and momentous occasion. We praise God for this great milestone.

Africa Children’s Prayer Day

7th October 2023 marked a very important event in the children’s ministry calendar when thousands of children met in our assemblies for a day of prayer. This was a culmination of a month-long chain of prayer to mark the Africa Children’s Prayer Day. It was very refreshing and inspiring to see children lift up their hands and worship God. Besides, they took time to pray for themselves, their families, the church, and the nation. We are encouraged that we are raising a generation that acknowledges the importance of prayer.

10th Anniversary for CITAM Eldoret

17th September 2023 was a significant day when CITAM Eldoret celebrated its 10th anniversary. God’s presence was experienced as the congregants led by the Senior Pastor, Rev. Bwire and the assembly’s leadership danced and sang in jubilation. Rev. Calisto Odede, the Presiding Bishop, who was the Chief Guest, spoke on the Attitude of Thanksgiving. In attendance was Council of Elders, Deacon Board members, Julius Kitheka (Trustee), Rev. Ken Isige (Director for Administration), Rev. Robin Mulunda ( Regional Overseer-Western), some pastors and Head Office Managers.

New Pastors Ordained

We celebrate God’s faithfulness during the ordination of 8 new pastors at a solemn ordination service held on Saturday, 26th August 2023 at CITAM Valley Road.  Rev. Calisto Odede, the Presiding Bishop with the Council of Elders officiated the ceremony. The pastors are: Pst. Patrick Kangala – CITAM Ngong Pst. Raymond Musyoka Juma- CITAM Ngong Pst. Caroline Kalekye Kiogora – CITAM Buruburu Pst. Isaac Mugo Maina -CITAM Ongata Rongai Pst. Beatrice Karuthu Kiruja- CITAM Archers Post Pst. Fednarnd Mwamburi Ponga- CITAM Mombasa Pst. Felix Oketch Kola – CITAM Kisumu Pst. Rose Alfelistus Mulekye- CITAM Thika Town The Deputy Bishop Designate, Rev. Justus Mugambi was also commissioned into the new role which begins from 1st October 2023. Also during the service we commissioned 7 new CAMP (CITAM Apprenticeship Ministry Program) Interns. This is a 1-year program which gives fresh graduates the opportunity to serve in the ministry on a full-time basis. During the programme some of them get the chance to confirm the call of God into ministry and therefore pursue God’s call after the program. Others join the marketplace but with a view of being salt and light there.

DVBS 2023 Kicks Off

We praise God that DVBS 2023 kicked off well on Monday 14th August 2023 and will run through the entire week. Thousands of children filled our assemblies, some being dropped and picked by parents while for others there was organised transport by having buses to ferry them. The children were will filed with the joy of the Lord as they sang songs and danced for the Lord as well as having Bible lessons and doing craft. This is a children’s discipleship aimed at reaching as many children as possible for Christ.

CITAM Ngong 20th Anniversary

CITAM Ngong celebrated their epic ministry journey of 20 years on Sunday, 30th July 2023. The celebratory service, which was led by the Senior Pastor, Rev. Ken Kimiywe saw many congregants filled with joy as they reminisced about what the Lord had done to them.    Rev. Calisto Odede, the Presiding Bishop spoke on “Ebenezer” based on 1 Samuel 7:12, “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the Lord has helped us.’”  Present in the service were some Trustees, members of the Council of Elders, Members of the Deacon Board, Rev. Dr. Karita Mbagara (Deputy Bishop), Rev. Justus Mugambi ( Deputy Bishop Designate), Rev. Ken Isige (Director for Administration), Rev. Elias Githuka ( Head of Missions),  Rev. Anthony Makena ( Head SAA) and some senior pastors from other assemblies.  During the evangelistic week at CITAM Ngong as they celebrated their 20th anniversary, the assembly ministered to about 200 boda boda (motorbikes) riders by giving them reflector jackets, lubricating oil, and Bibles. 20 of them gave their lives to the Lord.

PAC University Graduation

It was a momentous occasion when PAC University celebrated its 42nd graduation led by the Chancellor, Bishop Calisto Odede on Friday, 14th July 2023.  The Chief guest of the ceremony, Dr. Julius Kipng’etich, Group CEO of Jubilee Holdings Limited congratulated the graduating class and urged to go out and make a difference. The university which has become an established centre for excellence online teaching and learning has 3,800 students from 25 nationalities. He university, which was chartered in February 2008 has 2 PhD programs, 10 for Master’s degrees, 10 for Bachelor’s degree, 8 for diplomas and 4 for certificates.

CITAM Buruburu Ground Breaking Ceremony

It was a historic moment on Wednesday, 14th June 2023 when CITAM Buru Buru embarked on an ambitious project – the construction of a magnificent sanctuary that will accommodate up to 4,000 worshipers. It was remarkable demonstration of his dedication for CITAM Buru buru to have a new sanctuary when Rev. Calisto Odede, the Presiding Bishop climbed aboard the excavator to perform the maiden digging for the new sanctuary. Indeed, it was a momentous time of great joy and celebration to God for His faithfulness. With each scoop of earth, Bishop Odede symbolically laid the foundation for the new sanctuary, a place where God’s people will meet to worship Him and will be an inspiration for generations to come.The bishop laid the foundation stone, a significant moment in the construction of this magnificent sanctuary. It is a symbol of the strong spiritual base upon which this sanctuary will stand, representing the collective faith and unity of the CITAM Buru Buru and CITAM as a whole. The special occasion was also attended by members of the Deacon Board’s building committee, Rev. Ken Isige (Director for Administration). Rev. Charles Obara (Southern Region Overseer), Rev. Jesse Mwai (Senior Pastor CITAM Buru Buru, his pastoral team, some Head Office Managers, the contractor and the technical consultants. We thank God for our members for their faithful and generous giving to make the commencement project possible.
